Jonatane oversees the submission of high-quality proposals and supports donor cultivation efforts to establish and maintain effective partnerships with a variety of institutional and corporate donors. She works with agencies across AKDN to identify and pursue new funding opportunities and also manages AKF (UK)’s strategic grants.

Jonatane joined the UK office in 2021 having worked in Niger, the UK, Sudan, the DR. Congo and South Africa where she provided oversight on grants and programme management, resource mobilisation, external relations, programme development and communication. Jonatane holds a LLB in Law and LLM in International Law with International Relations from the University of Kent, and an MSc in Development Studies with Social Anthropology from Birkbeck College, University of London.
