Edith Read
Edith oversees the submission of high-quality proposals and supports donor cultivation efforts to establish and maintain effective partnerships with a variety of institutional donors. She works with agencies across AKDN to identify and pursue new funding opportunities and also manages AKF (UK)’s strategic grants.
Edith joined the UK office in 2019, after spending three years at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DEVCO) where she supported EU development cooperation policy and programming across Asia. Edith holds a BA in European Studies and French from King’s College London and a Masters in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), Geneva.
