The Aga Khan Foundation Walk & Run is back!

When: 14-16 April 2017
Where: European Sports Festival, The University of Nottingham

This year we are fundraising for a safe water project in Tajikistan, Central Asia’s poorest country. Here’s what you need to know about the project:

  • £5 million water & sanitation project primarily funded by the Swiss government
  • Every £1 we raise from the Walk & Run results in £10 going to the project
  • Constructing pumps & latrines for 75,000 people
  • Will reduce child mortality & empower women by maximising their time
  • 100% of funds raised at The Aga Khan Foundation Walk & Run will go directly to assist Tajik families

The total project grant is £5 million. The Aga Khan Foundation’s contribution, including the amount raised by the 2017 Aga Khan Foundation Walk & Run, will be £500,000; the rest is funded by the Swiss Government.

There are a several ways to get involved and fundraise:

  • 10KM Run for ages 14+ (Friday 14 April)
  • 5KM Walk for ages 6+ (Saturday 15 April)
  • 1KM Fun Run for ages 13+ (Saturday 15 April)
